This series moves from the semi-surrealism of the prior Affordable Housing Bike Angels to a more specific focus on the buildings themselves, which are all in the City of Santa Monica and part of the same corporate collective of over 100 affordable housing buildings. The works both shed light on and celebrate this important and uncommon (both in its rarity, and its mix of modern and semi-classic architectural styles) set of apartment homes, as beacons of hope, or perhaps more accurately, survival, in a large urban center where the income divide continues to widen.
